COLLABORATIONS

We believe that the arts have the power to transform lives and communities. That is why we offer customized theatre workshops to civil society organizations and institutions, based on shared objectives for community building and mobilization.

Our team works closely with our partners to craft workshops that are tailored to their unique needs and goals. We believe that the arts can bring people together and empower them to express themselves creatively, and our workshops are designed to do just that.

Through our collaborations, we hope to spread our love for the arts far and wide, igniting a passion for creativity in everyone we encounter. Whether you are part of a community group, or an institution looking to inspire and engage your members, we're here to help you make it happen.

ISST (Institute of Social Studies Trust)

November 2023 - April 2024

Takhleeq partnered with the Institute of Social Studies Trust to empower adolescents in the community. Through a meticulously crafted 24-week workshop, our goal was to raise awareness among children on the concepts of child rights and equality. Throughout the program, we focused on nurturing their analytical abilities through interactive and reflective sessions. The culmination of our efforts was a captivating street theatre performance, where the adolescents showcased their own everyday stories of happiness and struggles, giving voice to their experiences in a powerful and impactful manner.

Takhleeq hosted an immersive 1-day intensive workshop in collaboration with TYPF's cohort of young individuals in Delhi. The workshop was centered around the theme of "Exploring Self Through Movements," offering participants a unique opportunity to delve deep into self-discovery and expression through the medium of movement. Through engaging activities, exercises, and discussions, participants were encouraged to explore their inner selves, embrace their identities, and express their emotions through various forms of movement. The workshop provided a safe and supportive environment for young individuals to connect with themselves and each other, fostering personal growth and empowerment.

In collaboration with Chintan, we conducted an 8-day Nukkad Natak Workshop for the waste pickers community in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The workshop focused on the issues of landfill fires and air pollution caused by poor waste management, included theatre exercises, problem identification, improvisation, and movement to build the confidence of the participants. We also worked with the community to develop an original script based on discussions about their daily lives that was performed by them in different locations of Delhi to raise awareness about these critical issues. The engagement with NGOs reflects our commitment to using theatre as a powerful tool to create social change and promote community empowerment.
